Curtis has been teaching swimming
for over 40 years.
He started as a volunteer with the Red Cross at Ala Moana Beach.
Curtis has been teaching swimming for over 40 years. He started as a volunteer with the Red Cross at Ala Moana Beach.
As a Red Cross Certified LifeGuard and Water Safety Instructor, he was hired as a LifeGuard & Swimming Instructor for the Hickam Air Force Base Aquatic Program. From there he moved to Bojac Aquatic Center to become the sole Instructor. Now he's teaching from the privacy of his family's heated pool.
